Labour Turns Down FG’s Proposed N48,000 Minimum Wage, Storms Out From Meeting

The ongoing minimum wage negotiations between the organised labour and the Federal Government, alongside Organised Private Sector (OPS), has got stalled as the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) walked out from the meeting. This was after the government and the OPS made what the unionists described as “ridiculous offers” of N48,000 and N54,000, respectively.
