The re-election of Ademola Adeleke’s as Governor of Osun State, shows that democracy is strongest when citizens are vigilant, Sir Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has acknowledged. Adeleke, the Accord Party (AP) governorship candidate, was declared winner of the Osun State 2026 gubernatorial election Sunday morning after securing 511,067 votes to defeat Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who polled 444,815 votes.
