Amb. Felix Duke, frontline Nigerian music act, is set to join several other entertainment industry personage in Frankfurt Germany for this year’s celebration of the Nollywood Film Festival Germany (NFFG) and Nollywood Europe Golden Awards (NEGA).
Duke who is also the President of the Creative Industry Group (CIG), disclosed this during a recent chat with newsmen, at which he called on all his fans and well wishers to catch him live at the event.
The “Johana” monster hit crooner who is also set to be bestowed with award at the event, expressed his appreciation to the organisers, promising that attendees should be ready for a swell time.
The multiple awards winner also added that having won several awards both home and abroad, it was a great feeling to be considered for another coveted award outside the shores of Nigeria.
Ehi Izoya, organiser of the event, had earlier said it was one aimed at exposing Nigerian artistes through roadshows across European countries and the annual Nollywood Festival in Frankfurt.
He stressed the importance of cultural exposition projects to change the negative narrative about Nigeria, emphasising that entertainment was a powerful tool in this regard. He pointed out the global success of the Nigerian movie and music industries as evidence.
This year’s festival run from August 2 to 3l, at 2:30 pm.
The festival will culminate in the Nollywood Europe Golden Awards (NEGA) on the same day at 9:00 pm with a gala night showcasing leading Nollywood celebrities and musicians, who will receive awards and offer live entertainment on stage, complemented by performances from Europe-based artistes.
