A security guard, Ifeanyi Kelvin Udoka, 22, was Monday ordered by a Magistrate Court sitting in Ogudu, Lagos State, to be remanded over the alleged defilement of a four-year-old girl.

Presiding Magistrate, S.K. Matepo, directed that Udoka be held at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre pending legal advice from the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions, (DPP).

The matter has been adjourned to June 25 for further proceedings.

Udoka was arraigned on Monday by the Lagos State Police Command on charges relating to the alleged defilement of the minor.

The charge sheet disclosed that the alleged rape of the minor occurred at King Heritage School, located in Ikosi-Ketu.

Read the charge sheet: “That you, Ifeanyi Kelvin Udoka ‘M’, sometime in May, 2025, at King Heritage School Ikosi Ketu in the Ikeja Magisterial district did defile one (name withheld) ‘F’, age 4 years old, by having canal knowledge of her and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 137 of the criminal law of Lagos State 2015”.

A source familiar with the matter said the incident came to light when the child’s grand-mother observed strange behaviour after the girl returned home from school.

The source explained that the child began urinating on herself uncontrollably during the day.

The child told the woman that the security guard at the school touched her “bum bum”.

The Ketu police station is prosecuting the case.
