Police Prevents Man From Third Mainland Bridge Suicide

A man, 59, who wanted to commit suicide on the Third Mainland Bridge, was prevented by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) operatives of the Lagos State Police Command.

RRS made this known in a post it shared on its official X handle, @rrsLagos767, on Friday.

The Squad said the man was prevented from committing suicide on Friday at about 12:00 p. m.

Stated the Squad: “RRS bike riders on routine patrol on the Third Mainland Bridge prevented a man from jumping into the lagoon.

“The man, a resident of Ilasa area of the State, stated that he was overwhelmed by challenges”.

RRS said that its commander, CSP Shola Jejeloye, had counselled the suspect and directed he be kept in protective custody pending the arrival of his family members.
