The newly inaugurated Vintano Luxury Hotel in Lekki recently took centre stage as Lagos’ entertainment elite gathered for the much-anticipated Razzmatazz Showcase.
Curated by Inspiro Productions, the event was a seamless fusion of music, fashion, comedy, and luxury, which took place on Sunday, September 1, 2024, creating a memorable night in one of the city’s finest venues.
Led by General Manager Adhiraj Mitra (Asoo), the hotel set the perfect backdrop for a night filled with glitz, artistic flair, and memorable moments.
The event, co-hosted by the charismatic Prince of Style, Folarin Oseni, alongside renowned promoter and producer, Ayoola Sadare, better known as Shaddie Bobo, was not just another social gathering. Supported by such prominent brands as Planet Afrobeats, Dusse Cognac, and Vintano Hotel, it became a stand-out celebration of creativity and entertainment.
The Razzmatazz Showcase drew an impressive guest list of Lagos’ high-profile figures, adding to the glamour of the night. Among the distinguished guests were Chief Bube Okorodudu, Chairman of Cross Country; Deji Ayeni, Chairman of Grand Autos; Prince Princewill Utchay, owner of Prime Chinese/Food Ltd; Dipo Bello, Chairman of Hospital Equipments Ltd; and Ambassador Odims of Jay Autos.
Present also, were renowned guitarist Kunle Ayo; style icon, Jide Adefeso, DJ Jimbo of Effrakata Entertainment, Femi Dare of Link Stride, and many more.
From the moment guests arrived, they were swept into an immersive experience. The hotel’s lobby was transformed into a live music haven, featuring multi-instrumentalist A-Strings, who captivated the audience with his versatile performances on the violin, piano, and guitar.
Meanwhile, DJ Irawo brought her dynamic drumming skills to life on the talking drum, setting the tone for the evening’s festivities.
Guests were treated to multiple zones of entertainment, each offering something unique. The Ziba Lounge on the 6th floor became a lively karaoke space, where Count Martino engaged guests in a fun interactive session.
The Zamora VIP Lounge exuded sophistication, with DJ Vhicka providing the perfect musical backdrop as attendees enjoyed premium cigars from 2809 Cigars, fine spirits, and friendly rounds of snooker.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the poolside event on the 5th floor, where the luxurious ambiance came alive with a series of performances. The Elite Band delivered a high-energy set, while saxophonist, KingSax, added soulful melodies to the mix. Folarin Oseni, true to his title as the Prince of Style, surprised guests with an impressive dance performance that showcased his signature moves.
Emerging artistes from the 10-Strings Music Institute, including Bukasi, Debby, Chiamaka Akan, and others, kept the energy soaring with their vibrant musical acts. As the evening progressed, rising acts like Eazyrox, UBX, and Hypeman Rex, added to the excitement, blending Afrobeats and hip-hop for an electrifying performance. Saxophonist, Mikifa, also wowed the crowd with his captivating renditions of Afrobeats classics.
The visual spectacle did not stop there—Delightsome Skaters glided effortlessly around the poolside, adding an air of elegance and creativity to the night. Fashion took centre stage with Mercy Ogori’s Kokomi Africa Collection, as models strutted down the runway, showcasing stunning African-inspired designs that left the audience in awe.
In true Lagos style, comedy was woven into the evening’s entertainment. The Emir of Lagos, alongside his talented troupe of comedians, had the audience in fits of laughter with their witty punchlines and light-hearted humour. Their performance provided a refreshing balance to the night’s musical and fashion-driven elements, offering moments of fun and relaxation for the guests.
