Portable, controversial Nigerian singer, has asked Dapo Abiodun, Ogun State governor, to “step aside if he cannot fix the roads” and allow Solomon ‘Yayi’ Adeola, Ogun West Senator, to “repair” them.
The music act called out the Governor over the deplorable state of roads in the state.
In a series of posts via his Instagram story, Portable shared a video of his Range Rover car stuck in a ditch while blaming Abiodun.
He said the Ogun State governor should quit if he could not fix the roads.
Portable, who recently returned from the United States after an international tour, also expressed his desire for Yayi to become the next Ogun State governor.
In the video, some young men try to remove the car from the bad spot.
Said Portable: “Earthly mothers, pray for my car to get out of this ditch. Dapo Abiodun, please help us fix our roads or let Yayi do it. Let someone willing to.
“I heard that Yayi came to Sango Ota, Ogun but I was not around. Pls let him help repair our roads. My range rover is in the ditch.
“I just returned from America. In America, cars don’t get dirty or stuck in ditches. Yayi come and repair the roads if Dapo cannot.
“Dapo, step aside for Yayi to do it. We have money in Ogun State, but bad roads and leaders make us suffer. We are suffering because of bad roads. We have cars, but bad roads are our problem.
“Yayi is the next Ogun governor. Please tell Dapo to repair the roads before his tenure ends and if he cannot he should allow Yayi repair it. We will appreciate Dapo if he repair the roads”.
Portable’s outburst came a few days after Abiodun claimed his administration had constructed over 600 kilometres of roads and at least three roads in each State’s Local Government.
