L-R: Burna Boy, Dammy Krane and Davido.
Bandying invectives and disparaging words among contemporary generation of Nigerian artistes, would seem to be the constant feature currently. In reacting to this ugly development, Burna Boy, one of Nigeria’s popular singers, has urged Dammy Krane, to take down a social media post in which he accused Davido of being involved in the death of his friend, Tagbo Umeike.
Umeike died from alleged alcohol poisoning in October 2017 after his birthday party at Shisha Lounge in Lekki, Lagos State.
Davido previously dismissed claims that he had a hand in Tagbo’s death.
Krane, last month, reignited the matter, accusing Davido of being a “murderer”. He also hurled curses at the ‘OBO’ hitmaker.
Reacting to the accusation, Davido threatened to sue Krane for “defamation of character and cyberbullying”.
Krane, however, continued to call out Davido, in spite of the legal threat.
The singer, on Friday, said he was ready to testify in court against the singer of “Assurance” fame, daring Davido to sue him if he was lying.
Wrote Crane: “I’m boldly saying @davido has hand in Tagbo’s death.
“If im lying they should sue me, make everything cast for court. I ready help am spread all hin dirty linen for public”.
But reacting via the post’s comment section, Burna Boy berated Krane for making “insensitive remarks” about Davido.
The Grammy Award-winning act also called on Krane to delete the post, adding that it was not the right way to handle rift.
He cautioned Krane against seeking to send Davido to jail, referencing their shared experience of being locked up in prison.
Wrote Burna Boy: “Bro. WTF are you doing?? Take this down now !! Make me and u no get problem abeg . No be like this we dey handle differences.
“We both know how it feels to be locked up, why TF would you wish that on anyone? I gat love for u but I do NOT stand for none of this police a** st. Take all this st down please”.
