Time Up For Judgement

Hebrews 9:27-28. Mark 1:38.Matthew 11:28-30.

When boys play their games, they are exercising their intellect and their ability to know who amongst them is the smartest. It does not matter the time you took or taken to play the game, as long as you played well and you got the correct answer or you won. This is how it is known that you have played your game right – assuming you are on the right path.

As we have assumed, the game in question may not be a game of cheese, butter, or yoke. It is a game of life, thereby making it appear as real as possible. The Bible says: “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement”. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many, and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation”. Yes, the playing boys are playing for their lives, thereby exercising their divine ability to know who amongst them will be on the right path.

My dear friend, I am sure you are imagining a number of things currently. How about the trip to London? What about the get-together of the new interns? How about the outing of the new families and many more of such soul-lifting outings. They are good. They gladden the heart. They make the mind and the heart to twinkle and tango. For sure, they leave you with a whole lot of choices, assuming they are very close people. Then you will prepare an apology for those who will not be so favoured. That is how life is lived. But with God Almighty, it is a different kind of thing entirely.

As a divine being, you are expected to be somehow different. You are made to be special. You are expected to be unique. So, what am I expected to do? What should be my answer? What should I decide? What am I going to tell God about my choice? etc. Many more questions. But the answer should be to make one completely entrenched in God’s own hand. Yes, you will be expected to be in the hollow of God’s hand. And until man reaches that point, where you place yourself in the hollow of God’s hand for everything you are asking for, everything you want to do, and for everything you intend to know about, you have not reached the point.

As we progress, let us also know that the reality of being a believer goes beyond common sense. Very often, we assume that our faith is equal to what we say or do. No. Occasions will arise when you have to decide not to do a thing because you are rooting to die. At such times, it will only be between you and God – to decide what should be done. And I ask you, my dear friend: what should be your response? Your answer will be as good as my own.

Perhaps the reality of this Scripture has not really dawned on you or established itself in your mind for you to really know what it means. It is appointed unto men once to die, after that, the JUDGEMENT of God.

That is what the Bible is saying… that after man is dead, then the judgment of God will set in. On this occasion, every man, woman, boy, girl, and for the sake of knowledge, every human race will all be on that roll in their colours – no matter whatever race they are. Everyone will be there to answer how they played their game or, better still, how they lived their life.

Now that you have heard, what are you doing to ensure you escape from that fiery furnace? I am inclined to ask the question because I am concerned. A vote for the escape is a vote for humanness, a vote for man, woman, boy, and girl who had faced all manners of indignities, betrayers, accusations, all kinds of inhumanities, false attacks, ungodly behaviors, and seductions, among others. And the Bible says: COME.. Matthew 11:28.

Interestingly, the time will come for humans to answer for themselves what they had done on earth: assuming they get to answer. But I don’t foresee a situation wherein an occasion will appear to enable a sinner give himself or herself a space to answer, at least, one or two things they had done that made it possible for them to be at that place. This is because the Bible had already stated it that all have come short of the glory of God.

What is your answer today? I want to trust God that you will, from henceforth, choose to live your life in a way that would make you enter into that rest God has prepared for His faithful servants. I pray that you play this game of life with the set-down rules of the Creator of the game itself. Remember, it is appointed to man once to die, after this the judgement.
God bless you.
