Three students of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) were on Sunday confirmed by the police in Cross River State to have been abducted.
SP Irene Ugbo, Spokesperson of the Command, said the students were taken from a university hostel on Thursday night. While details of the abduction weren’t disclosed, Ugbo assured that the police, in collaboration with other agencies, were actively working to secure the students’ safe return.
The abducted students were identified as Ojang Precious Ebejin, a 200-level Medicine and Surgery student, Ugwu Chukwuemeka, a 300-level Genetics and Biotechnology student, and Damilola Dickson, a final-year student in the same department.
