Beer Drinkers To Pay More As NBL Hikes Product Price

Lager beer consumers may have to pay more for the alcoholic beverage as the Nigerian Breweries (NB PLC) has announced a price increase on some products in its Stock-Keeping Units (SKUs).

The price adjustments, the company said, is in a bid to “mitigate the impact of the rising cost of input”, and would take effect from Monday, October 9, 2023.

In a memo to customers, sighted by www.beats-onit.com, the company attributed the need to review prices to the soaring rise in input costs and the need to mitigate the impact.

The memo dated October 2, 2023 and signed by Olalekan Awosanya, Zonal Business Manager – West, disclosed that the check mpany would deliver at current prices all open orders that were fully funded and created in their system before 00.00hr on Monday October 9, 2023.

Added the memo: “This is to inform you that we will review the prices of some of our SKUs effective Monday 9th October, 2023. This review has become necessary because of continued rising input cost and the need to mitigate the impact.

“In appreciation of our great partnership and your commitment, we will deliver at current prices all open orders that are fully funded and created in our system before 00.00hr on Monday 9th October, 2023.

“While thanking you for your comittment to our great partnership, be rest assured that we will continue to support your sales/distribution efforts as always.

“For further clarifications, please do not hesitate to contact your Regional Business Manager”.
