Allegation About PAP Stopage Of Education Scholarship False – Management

Loading

The allegation making the rounds on major news platforms about the discontinuation of the management of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) sponsored formal education scholarship awards is a ruse.

This rebuttal was contained in a statement singed weekend by Flt. Lt. Terry Ajobena (rtd), technical assistant to the Interim Administrator.

It however confirmed that the programme had only suspended the award of fresh scholarships to potential beneficiaries.

The statement made it clear that all delegates on formal education, both onshore and offshore remained bonafide beneficiaries and would continue to enjoy approved privileges attached to thier various scholarship schemes.

The Programme affirmed that the current suspension was as a result of PAP’s financial situation due to debts incurred by previous formal education scholarship awards and other commitments, addind that the suspension would be lifted as soon as these obligations were cleared.

Beneficiaries are thereby implored to be undistracted as PAP was still committed to its earlier obligations.
