Davido’s long-awaited (Are We African Yet?) A.W.A.Y. Festival is now postponed to November 18, 2023 due to the demise of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
The highly anticipated maiden festival planned by the award-winning Nigerian music act, was slated to hold at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on November 18, 2022.
To have been headlined by Davido himself, the show was to feature Mayorkun, Stonebwoy, BNXN, Kizz Daniel, Pheelz, and Lojay, among others.
However, as a result of Ifeanyi’s death, the singer’s management announced that the music event woulf now take place on November 18, 2023, in a statement via Instagram.
Read the statement: “We have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone AWAY Festival until Saturday, November 18, 2023.
“To all ticket buyers, your tickets will be honoured for the 2023 date. We understand that you must be disappointed but we promise to come back with a bigger and better show.
“Thank you for understanding and we look forward to seeing you all in the near future”.
