Nigerian Singer, Seyi Shay, has put to bed her first child She announced this in a post on her Instagram page on Friday.
Wrote she: “The eagle has landed. Thank you all for your well wishes. What a journey it has been. We love you”.
The newborn baby’s arrival came after the ‘Yolo Yolo’ crooner revealed the gender during a baby shower organised recently.
While confirming her pregnancy rumours earlier this year, it will be recalled, Shay said she was engaged, revealing that the engagement was one of the reasons for her glow, although she kept mum on her lover’s identity.
Said Shay when asked about the diamond ring on her finger: “Some guy gave it to me and said, ‘would you marry me?’ It’s really diamonds. Diamonds are forever”.
Said she then: “I’d already evolved. I was already glowing before I met the guy. He just added to the glow”.
In June last year, Shay disclosed that she felt pressured by fans to get married, have babies and share racy photos.
Shay revealed then: “Yeah, (I feel) pressure to get married; have a boyfriend; have babies. That’s all before the pressure to release a new single sometimes. Crazy right? Pressure to share more butt pictures. But it’s good”.
“It’s part of it. It’s what keeps me gingered. But I don’t burn myself out; I don’t overdo. I have a lot of videos and I’m always recording. Throughout this whole pandemic, I moved the studio to my house. I don’t just release”.
