The Nigerian twittersphere over last weekend went on fire when Lamidi Adeyemi, Alaafin of Oyo, made a public appearance with Olori Chioma Adeyemi, his new wife.
The 82-year-old monarch and his new wife were seen at the installation of Tomori Williams, a real estate mogul, as the Aare Onikoyi of Yorubaland in Ibadan.
Alaafin graced the event with his wives, all of whom were adorned in identical lace outfits, headgears, and face masks.
Chioma however became the cynosure of all eyes after Wasiu Ayinde, a Fuji singer better known as Kwam 1, during his tributary performance, announced the Igbo lady as being among the Yoruba monarch’s wives.
Ever since videos from the event surfaced on Twitter, it has generated mixed reactions among Nigerians.
