Nigerian singer, Tekno’s much awaited debut album entitled ‘Old Romance’, has finally been pushed out. Tekno (real name, Augustine Kelechi) took to his social media pages to announce the release of the 14 tracker in the early hours of Friday.

Numbers in the pack include ‘Sku Sku’, ‘Tumbo’, ‘Uptown Girl’, ‘Catalia’, ‘Addicted’, ‘Designer’, ‘Family Issues’, ‘In Love’ and ‘Neigbor’, ‘Armageddon’, ‘Dana’, ‘Enjoy’, ‘Ugly Parade’ and ‘Mistake’.

Although it remains uncertain when the singer first teased fans about the project, in November 2019, Tekno announced that he could not wait to release the project.

Tweeted he then: “I can’t wait to release this album. #Oldromance”.

Born on December 17, 1992, in Bauchi state, Tekno has become a household name in the music industry, since dropping his first single dubbed ‘Holiday’. He had gone on in 2018 to sign a distribution deal with Universal Music Group Nigeria (UMGN), a division of Universal Music Group (UMG) in charge of West Africa, as well as the UK-based Island Records.

The ‘Skeletun’ singer who has bagged strings of awards, recognition as well as collaborations with other music heavyweights, has also been critical of the country’s leadership. In August, the 27-year-old singer had cursed politicians looting the country’s treasury.

Posted he then on his iweeter handle: “If you are a leader in this country stealing from your people and just can’t give back small to the people, God will make u suffer in ways money can’t fix”.

The gifted singer made the headlines in 2019 over his face-off with Lagos police authorities after his controversial video shoot which involved semi-nude ladies dancing in a transparent truck amid evening traffic.

Although, he apologised for the stunt, the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) had vowed to make a scapegoat of him as a deterrent to persons who intend to perpetrate “immorality”.
