The family, and colleagues in the Nigerian music industry have concluded arrangements to hold a Service of Songs in honour of late Osy Denobis who died on October 15, 2020.
According to a brief statement signed and issued by Chuks Denobis, the brother of the diseased, the event is slated to hold at Denobis’ resident at No.19, Somoyo Street, Omotoye Estate, Orile-Agege, Lagos, on Friday, November 13, 2020.
The statement further expressed the desire of the family and the late Denobis’ colleagues for the requisite cooperation and support of all Osy’s friends and well wishers in making the Service of Songs the subsequent burial very memorable.
Denobis, fondly called The Gentle Giant, had been a resourceful support personage to many notable Nigerian performing and recording artistes such as Onyeka Onwenu, late Christy Essien Igbokwe, Feladey, and many others as either sound engineer and or producer. Until his demise, Denobis was Afrobeat top act, Femi Kuti’s chief sound engineer. The date of burial was yet to be announced as at press time.
