Balogun’s suspension, according to a statement issued by the Mr. Gbenga Omotosho, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, was handed down by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

In the statement, the government denied levying the tax, explaining that the embattled Executive Secretary acted alone without the state government’s authorisation.
