Plateau State recorded 116 infections as the COVID-19 cases soared on Tuesday with 239 new cases of the novel virus were confirmed in Nigeria.
Report released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), showed that the newly recorded cases brought total confirmed cases to 54,247; total discharged figure to 42,010 with death toll rising to 1,023.
The report released by the health agency via twitter handle further revealed that the 239 cases were recorded from 15 states as follows, Plateau-116, FCT-33 Lagos-19, Ekiti-12, Kaduna-11,
Ogun-11, Ebonyi-8, Benue-7, Abia-5, Delta-5, Ondo-4, Edo-3, Imo-2, Osun-2, Bauchi-1.
