The highest number of new coronavirus cases in Nigeria was on Monday recorded with Lagos which is the epicentre of COVID-19 in the country alongside the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Delta topping the list.

According to the update offered by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), 575 new cases were confirmed on Monday, out of which Lagos reported 123 cases.

Closely Lagos State was the FCT with 100 cases, with Delta State coming third with 58 new cases.

The total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria is 29,286.
