The enigmatic entertainer said that as part of marking the special day, he would drop a song entitled ” Mumu Don Do, featuring the musical Taliban, Oritse Demi.

Describing it as “my spiritual birthday”, Charley Boy maintained ” I will be a year younger becausebof my vampire blood.

Charley Boy began his entertainment career in 1982 when he released a highlife album. He went ahead to release “Nwata Miss” in 1990. He has at various times worked with various artistes like Femi Kuti, Onyeka Onwenu, Dr. Alban and a host of others.

In spite his affluent background, he has always associated with the less privileged. At various times he advocated for the rights of various groups in the society. During the military rule of late General Sani Abacha, he led a protest to the Defense Headquarters to advocate for the payment of pension arrears of military pensioners. He was name Area Fada by commercial motorcyclists for his support when their operations are threatened. He was also part of the fuel subsidy protest in 2012, and was the founder of Save Nigeria.
