Teddy Don-Momoh a.k.a. Teddiizzle is a popular radio presenter, known these days as On-Air Personality (OAP). Beyond that, he is a talented singer whose latest single, ‘Grace’, is making waves on air and online presently. In this interview with www.beats-onit.com, Teddy who was married to late Branama exponent, Kefee, for the first time reveals how his late wife inspired him to venture into music as well as other issues in his career path.
What is the title of your latest single?
The title of my latest single is Grace
You are an On-Air Personality/Presenter. What led you into music?
Yes, I am an OAP /presenter . Music has always been part of what I do , I’ve supported other artistes even in production of their works so it was only time that one day I will be doing music and that time is now.
Have you released an EP yet; or working on any?
No, I’ve not dropped an EP yet but I’m working on it and I can tell you that it’s ready; I’m only waiting to drop it soon.
How would you describe your kind of music?
I would say my kind of music is called ‘convict music’; music that you listen to and it pricks you to do the right thing to man and God because of the message in it.
Are you a performing or recording artiste?
I’m both a performing and recording artiste.
How far are you ready to go in music-making business; or are you just having fun to quit as soon as you are satisfied?
I’m super ready to go; I’m all into music and music business; as we speak, you can get my music online on all music stores worldwide. And need to let you know that I’m not retiring, singing is one gift I have and I’m exploring it to the fullest till I die.
What challenges do you encounter combining music and your broadcasting endeavour?
life is full of challenges; the more we face them the better we become ,so combining my Broadcasting with music has helped me to utilise my time effectively. Though, this has drained my pocket a lot, I’m not complaining. I know it will pay as far as I stay consistent and persistent in dishing out great materials. Right now I’m self-sponsored; really looking out for collaborations and sponsorship too.
In who do you find inspiration pursuing the music career?
Seriously speaking music has always been part of my growing up and I’ve always been inspired by so many artistes from foreign artistes to our African artistes. But Kefee, the Branama Queen, (God rest her soul) drew it home for me; we were actually planning to have an EP together. She told me ‘you have a voice; I love it when I hear it; use it let’s do something together’ and we already recorded a track before she was called to glory. The song is titled Beautiful; it’s online; you can go check it out; Kefee ft. Teddiizzle. I’m i also inspired by things and happenings around.
What message do you have for your fans?
To my fans; seriously, I don’t call them fans. I refer to them as my-family; please keep supporting brand Teddiizzle in anyway possible to lift me up and I promise I won’t let you down by giving back bigtime; you know am saying. And I love you all; expect contents that are original uplifting and qualitative. Yalamundo!!! Please follow me on all social media platforms @Teddiizzle.
