Late Gen. John Shagaya (Rtd.)
Former ECOMOG Peacekeeping Commander in Liberia and a former Minister of Interior, under General Ibrahim Babangida’s regime, Brigadier General John Shagays (Rtd), has died following a ghastly motor accident on his way to his hometown, Langtang.
According to family sources, he died after a ghastly motor accident along Langtang Road, in southern plateau.
Shagaya was an erstwhile Senator who represented Plateau South in the National Assembly from 2007 – 2011.
The former Senator was recently appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari to head the board of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).
