Bayelsa Holds Maiden Transparency Briefing For 2018

The Bayelsa State Government will today (Thursday) hold the first edition of its Monthly Transparency Initiative Briefing, the first for the year 2018 by 2 O’clock in the afternoon.

A statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Daniel Iworiso-Markson said the event which will hold at the Chief D.S.P. Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall, Government House will have Governor Henry Seriake Dickson personally briefing the press.

‎The statement therefore invites‎ representatives of Traditional Rulers’ Council Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC)‎, Trade Union Congress (TUC)‎, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bayelsa State Council, Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union, (RATTAWU)‎ and the Yenagoa branch of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) to be in attenance.

Others are‎ the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) and other relevant stakeholders who are expected to attend with two representatives each.

The statement called on Government functionaries, members of the press and all other invited guests to be seated by half past One in the afternoon, as late comers will not be admitted into the venue.
