The Bayelsa State Government has called on residents in the state to use tomorrow’s public holiday to come out and join in the annual thanksgiving.

A terse statement issued in Yenagoa by the State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, said it was that time of the year again to collectively thank God for all his goodness, mercies and grace upon their lives and the state.

According to him, there should not be any excuse not to turn up for the event as‎ tomorrow’s public holiday which is backed by law, gives everyone, especially civil servants the opportunity to be part of it.

The Commissioner said Governor Henry Seriake Dickson, would lead other‎ members of his cabinet and the Restoration Government to the thanksgiving which will hold at the newly inaugurated Bayelsa State Ecumenical Center by 10’clock in the morning.

Iworiso-Markson added that renowned gospel minister, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai will be the guest preacher alongside other Men of God while American songwriter and gospel musician, Ron Kenoly who has been in the state will also make an appearance.
