Nigerian musician, Yung6ix, has categorically debunked any reports claiming he is a member of the Eiye Confraternity, a cult group.
Rumours about the rapper’s involvement with the cult group surfaced after a fan noticed a certain handshake style that the rapper did on ‘No Favours’ video.
The fan commented, ‘I just saw “No Favors” video, so @Yung6ix is a birdman!!!! Eiye for that matter… Wawuuuu issokay.’
There are two components of the video that might have informed the fan’s conclusion about the rapper’s involvement with the secret society or otherwise.
The first red flag is the white birds that the rapper set free at the beginning of the video. This is because the act of releasing a white bird is an act associated with the cult.
The second red flag in the video is Yung6ix’s handshake with his friend in the video. The handshake, which the rapper makes with his friend, made the sign of a bird.
Many of the entertainer’s fans were quick to point out that the rapper had not debunked the rumours of his participation in the cult. But the rapper has since taken to Twitter to reply to the allegation and put the cultist rumours to rest.
I’m not a cultist that was a label hand shake https://t.co/uhXyc1Jfzg

Yung6ix, who is no stranger to controversy, was in the news lately for exchanging shots with comedian, Akpororo. The comedian called out the rapper for spending more than N3.6 million in the club on drinks. Akpororo said that instead of spending lavishly on drinks, the musician should invest more in his singles.
The rapper found this comment distasteful and disrespectful and as a result, clapped back at the comedian on social media. The situation escalated when his hypeman, DJ Timmy, joined the rapper to insult the comedian.
DJ Timmy called out the comedian’s wife, saying that she was ‘held as a sex slave for over foyears in Lead City University and sold her to you.’
