Rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem has expressed the view that young Nigerian artistes involved in the newfound “baby mama” affairs will regret their action in future.
He disclosed to a popular blogger that “Another thing is having several baby mamas because they will all regret it when they grow up. Don’t let your kids kill themselves because of jealousy”, he concluded.
Eedris Abdulkareem also praised Nigerian artistes for making the country proud with their exploits both locally and internationally but took a swipe on them on the kind of videos they create.
He said “Davido and other artistes are riding on international platforms and making Africa proud. But my advice to him and others artistes is that don’t go to America and come back to show us cocaine in your videos which makes no sense.”
Eedris Abdulkareem, during the aborted protest proposed by fellow musician, 2Baba, earlier in the year, accused the artist of chasing all the good people around him away, attempting to carry out a national protest without carrying along the veterans like him.
He was of the opinion that as a writer of love songs he doesn’t necessarily sing socially conscious music that qualifies him to lead such protest.
“You go dey start protest, think say you fit do am alone, you don forget say what you do basically is love songs, dey impregnate people dey go.” He said.
Eedris Abdulkareem was part of the defunct musical group, “Remedies” which had Eddy Remedy and Tony Tetula as members.
He has been married to Sekinat for over 13 years and they are blessed with four children.
