Nigeria’s political ruling class is drving Afro-beat act, Seun Kuti, up the walls.
The musician went on a Twitter rant Monday, September 4, 2017, blasting the government and the political class.
Seun Kuti fired his first shot by tweeting: “So dey want us to think stupid, everybody celebrating, deyve bn celebrating all dis days, but who is celebrating d slavery days.”

The leader of the Egypt 80 band is also annoyed about the state pf education in the country. “Naija Youths ask again, Wetin b dis present Naija govt policy on Education?” tweeted Seun Kuti.

He continued his rhetoric of how the government isn’t doing its job and noted that Nigerians don’t know much about the administration’s policies.

In February 2017, Seun Kuti said it was better for the government to invest in education than in refineries. He also told Nigerians to resist the political system that is holding the country back.

Known for his conscious lyrics, Seun Kuti observed that Nigerians do not want to hear his music because it reminds them of their numerous problems.

“OAPs tell me that Nigerians don’t want to hear my music because it reminds them of their problems, so for that even my music cannot be played on the radio,” said Seun Kuti in an interview with Sahara TV back in February 2017.
While his music might not be necessarily topping charts here, Seun Kuti’s stock has grown abroad. He was recently seen hanging with the son of another music legend Damian Marley.
