Realistically, Ghana Movie industry especially Ghallywood seems to be going down drastically as compared to some years back. Movie production houses like Venus Films, HM Films, Bandex, Heroes Films and the likes have been slow in their production rate in the year 2016 and 2017 as compared to their output in between 2012-2015 under review.

It’s in the light of this that Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson, producer of House of Gold, cries over the fading industry rendering most actors and actresses jobless in a series of tweets yesterday via her twitter handle.

Listen, let’s put in same energy to bring back the dead industry rather than slay on carpets cuz truthfully y’all know there’s no work!

According to the actress cum producer, the female actresses have now become ‘slay queens’ shooting and posting numerous pictures on social media. As such, she’s pleading to industry players and all stakeholders involved to wake up from their slumber.

The industry has so lost it’s way and they can’t even see it, they all going in that direction. Dressing up to be posted on SM.

It’s true because Ghanaians have missed those times where romance, heartbreaking and good morals were displayed by our actors and actresses in their glamour movies. So we’re pleading to movie producers like Abdul Salam Mumuni, Frank Raja Arase, Leila Djansi, Shirley Frimpong Manso, Yvonne Nelson, Kobby Rana, Bandex and all the gurus in Ghana movie production to be up and doing henceforth. They should see how they can collaborate with our actors and actresses to give Ghana the very best of viewing pleasure.
