Club Owners Mourn Late SWAN VP, Eddie Bekom

The Football Club Owners Association of Nigeria (Club owners) has described the death of Mr Eddie Bekom, the National vice president of SWAN South South as a great loss to the entire sports fraternity in Nigeria.

The late Eddie Bekom, a seasoned sports Journalist was involved in a domestic gas fire explosion which affected his family and neighborhood.

The second degree burns sustained by those affected had so far claimed the lives of his Wife and one of his children, and left three members of his family currently in critical conditions.

In a sympathy message to his family and members of the Sports writers Association of Nigeria SWAN, Club owners said the tragic incident has caused the sports fraternity the loss of one of the finest sports journalists, who had paid his dues in the pen profession.

According to a statement by the Association jointly signed by its chairman Barr. Isaac Danladi and the executive secretary Alloy Chukwuemeka , the Association prayed for the repose of his soul and that of his late wife and child and for God to grant quick recovery to those recuperating in the hospital.

Club owners extended their sympathy to the entire executive and members of the Sports writers Association of Nigeria SWAN and thanked all those individuals, groups and organizations that donated to the treatment of the injured victims.
